Thank you for your interest in my rabbitry! This is a hobby my dad started when I was around 5 years old. He started with a mini-lops and eventually added Netherland Dwarfs. As I got a little older, I fell in love with Dutch and had a Holland Lop. I was involved with 4-H so we also had New Zeeland Whites for awhile. This was a fun family hobby for about 8 years.
Now, (mumble, mumble) years later, I am diving back in! After some issues with anxiety last year, I have found the rabbitry to be my happy place. Cuddling, laughing, and just an excuse to get outside for awhile has been healing for me. I am now a 4-H leader in Allegan County. My nieces and nephew show with me sometimes at the ARBA shows and are also active in 4-H. I love sharing this hobby with kids.
I do not claim to be an expert. So much has changed in (mumble, mumble) years! But, I love to learn and pass on what I have learned to others.
I have gone back to my first love! Many people don't like raising Dutch because of the issues with markings, but I love it because of the markings!
Who wouldn't want Mini-Rex?! It is like petting a plush stuffed animal. They aren't just soft; they are loving, sweet, and funny characters!
Oh so cute! Those big heads and giant feet! Personally, I prefer to show the other two breeds, but I have 4-Hers who ask for Holland Lops so I breed show quality rabbits for the kids.
New to rabbits? Please, feel free to reach out to me with questions! If I don't know, I will help research to find the answers.
Hopefully this information will be helpful as you learn the basics of caring for your new fluffy friend.
